Ok so just a little warning ... I am a little under the weather so i might be a little loopy sounding. I'll do my best.
This blog is about my time in Israel. It will be a little shorter because a lot of it seems unimportant to the normal person... Ok here we go. September 3rd my brother Ethan and I arrived in Israel. We then met up with the rest of the family in Jerusalem. We lived there for about 2 weeks. During this time we learned the culture the way of living in that area. It was mostly Arab background people. It was a great experience. Then we moved to Bethlehem for the rest of the two months. There we lived we developed relationships with the locals and we just did normal day to day things like home schooling and shopping for food and watching films and reading books. We developed some very close relationships with some local shop owners and with some of the local business men. They were some of the most hospitable people that i have ever met in my life. I also had the opportunity to lead worship at a few houses of prayer there in Israel and in the West Bank. Life there was great. I think that the Lord created me to be a warm climate person. Like Florida , southern California, Israel the lot! We also had the opportunity to see and to visit some very important biblical sights. We went from the extreme north to the extreme southern tip of the country. We got to see The mouth of the Jordan river where John the Baptist Baptized Jesus. We got to see Copernaum where Peters mother in law lived. We got to see Galgatha where Jesus was said to have been crucified we also got to see the garden tomb where Jesus spent 3 days. we got to see the dead see and we floated around for hours ... we got to swim in the sea of Galilee and also the Red sea... We got to visit some glorious sights.,.. we also got to celebrate in En Ghetti and it was amazing. I learned soooo much while being there. I want you all to know that America is totally close minded about what is going on in the world. I mean a lot of us assume that all Arabs are trying to kill Americans and that they just automatically hate us case we are Christians . it's not true... I have never been more welcomed as in Arab culture. Other then in Brazilian Culture but we will get to that later :). So to sum it all up we lived we ate we bought food we did school 9or the kids did school) we prayed we laughed we cried we developed relationships with the locals we "shone like stars in this dark generation". We are called to be the light of the world. Jesus himself commissioned us to be as lights. So we developed relationships with the locals in full knowledge that we were Christians.and it was amazing. It's life changing to see the places that you read about in the bible. so read your bible ... and if you want email me and ask me questions... i'll answer to the best of my ability . That's all for now.
